There are experiences that stay with you long after they are over. This week at Camp Boggy Creek was one of those moments.
Through our partnership with Camp Boggy Creek, FindAWay4Kids had the privilege of spending time with incredible children living with cerebral palsy. From the moment they arrived, the camp came alive with laughter, excitement, and the unmistakable feeling that this was a place where every child could simply be themselves.
Throughout the day, every activity brought new opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate. The arts and crafts sessions quickly became spaces where creativity flourished. Watching each camper proudly create something unique was a reminder that every child has talents waiting to be discovered and encouraged.
One of the most unforgettable moments was the theater performance.
The children took the stage wearing colorful costumes, laughing together, supporting one another, and enjoying every second of the experience. There was something incredibly moving about seeing each child participate with confidence and joy. The applause from counselors, volunteers, and fellow campers filled the room with encouragement, making every child feel seen, celebrated, and proud.
Just as meaningful were the quiet moments shared throughout the day.
During lunch, everyone came together to give thanks before the meal. It was a beautiful reminder of the values that make Camp Boggy Creek so special. Looking around the room, we watched friendships grow naturally as campers helped one another, shared conversations, laughed together, and celebrated even the smallest moments. It was impossible not to smile while witnessing such genuine kindness and inclusion.
The volunteers played an equally important role in creating this unforgettable experience. Their energy, compassion, and dedication could be seen in every interaction. Whether assisting with activities, offering encouragement, or simply sharing a laugh, they created an environment where every camper felt welcomed, supported, and valued.
Experiences like these remind us that Camp Boggy Creek is about much more than recreation. It is about belonging. It is about building confidence, creating friendships, and giving children the opportunity to experience the simple joy of being surrounded by people who believe in them.
